After a little research on AstraGin, we found out that this ingredient is really an amalgamate of the two ingredients: Notoginseng and Astagalus root.

Both of these ingredients are used in Chinese medicine as a remedy for almost every ailment known to mankind. In fact, Notoginseng’s Latin name is panax which translates to “cure-all.”

Throughout the years these ingredients have been claimed to be able to do everything from increase your metabolism to cure asthma. Both of them have been used in holistic healing as a sort of last resort.

Although these ingredients might sound like they can do everything, in reality, the most powerful effects they can have on the body is as a placebo. Neither of these ingredients have been researched by pharmaceutical companies because they don’t possess any powers to suggest that they could really do anything special.
