When we think of the term hybrid we generally picture something that is scientifically innovative and is a blend of the best of both worlds.
That’s why when we saw that Beyond Raw Ravage by GNC is supposed to be the world’s first hybrid pre-workout supplement, we were intrigued enough to take a closer look.
What’s The Hype About Beyond Raw Ravage?
GNC has marketed Beyond Raw Ravage as the most important thing you can add to your workout, other than “bare-knuckle intensity.” This pre-workout supplement is supposed to boost your energy levels and increase vascularity.
By increasing the amount of Nitric Oxide in your body, Beyond Raw Ravage is supposed to be able to allow for more blood to flow from your heart to your muscles, providing more oxygen and nutrients to your muscles while you’re working out.
With more blood flow and more energy, you’re supposed to be able to workout longer and at a more intense pace, allowing you to get even more benefits from your workouts than you previously thought possible.
Although we weren’t too surprised by Beyond Raw Ravage’s approach to boosting your workout, we knew that this supplement could only work as hard as its strongest ingredient so we took a look at its formula.
Does Beyond Raw Ravage Live Up To The Hype?
Other than Caffeine and four different types of Creatine, we didn’t see much anything that would really increase your energy levels.
Don’t get us wrong, Creatine is a powerful ingredient and is especially known for its ability to help the body deliver more energy to sarcomere, or muscle, tissue, but it is also found in many other pre-workout supplements. Even ones with better prices than Beyond Raw Ravage.
But as far as boosting levels of Nitric Oxide, we were disappointed to see that there was next to nothing in Beyond Raw Ravage that was capable of that big task.
We did see a large amount of Arginine that was once thought to be a precursor to Nitric Oxide, but recent research reveals that this ingredient is capable of no such thing.
In fact, most research shows that the only constant thing that Arginine does for you is increase your need to urinate.
Does Beyond Raw Ravage Have Any Redeeming Qualities?
Apart from the fact that Beyond Raw Ravage comes with a return policy, we don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t look elsewhere for a pre-workout supplement.
