Hyper-Growth 5X by Cibex-O Labs is a pre-workout supplement that works as a vasodilator and muscle builder. It’s comprised of mainly two ingredients, creatine and arginine. Both work to increase the “pump” effect experienced during intense workouts, and also combine to create an environment essential for healing muscle tissue. With such a simple complex we decided it would be important to review this brand new product and see how it compares to others like it on the market.

Supplement: What’s In It?

With only 15 servings per container, we wanted to see if the ingredient profile made up for the lack of servings, it is as follows:
Creatine Ester Phosphate Sodium: 1000mg, Creatine Ethyl Carbonate Ester: 1000mg, Arginine Alpha Ketoglutorate Powder: 1000mg, Di-arginine Orotate: 1000mg, Magnesium Orotate: 1000mg.

How They Work

We liked that they have used 1000mg for each ingredient per serving, as that is both a large dose of arginine and creatine alike. With such big doses you should see definite results during workout from both of these nutrients.

Creatine works in the body by absorbing into muscle tissue, building up glutamine levels, and producing quick bursts of energy. Both forms of creatine used in this supplement are quickly absorbed into the system, helping provide the muscles with fast results.

Arginine converts itself to nitric oxide in the blood stream. Arginine is a vasodilator, expanding blood vessels and increasing nutrient to flow through the body, filling up muscles with oxygen–boosting power, and stomping out fatigue.

Is It Worth It?

We aren’t very pleased with this supplement for three reasons: the ingredient profile is too simplistic, leaving out vital components like Beta-Alanine, BCAA’s, and amino acids. And both creatine and arginine are outdated as useful supplements. Sure, you’re going to get vasodilation from Arginine, it’s true–especially in the amount provided in this product. But arginine has yet to be proven to increase nitric oxide in short term doses–meaning that it is ineffective at providing muscle tissues an increase in oxygen and nutrient. Creatine is often just a good way to get swollen, and to be honest–isn’t the best approach to take for increasing and keeping muscle mass. Neither product assists in recovery, which is so important. Find a product with a huge dose of Beta-Alanine, and you’re set. Also, this product is OVER-PRICED. Docked up to $69.99 a bottle, this purchase is a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Look elsewhere, this is ridiculous.
