Marketing can be similar to politics. For example, many dietary supplements try and make themselves look better by dragging down their competitors. Natadrol could be considered one of those products.

Natadrol was created by LG Science as an anti-tribulus supplement. The makers of Natadrol claim that their product works better than any tribulus supplement out there. We’re going to see just how effective Natadrol is and if it truly does outperform every other tribulus product.

What is Tribulus Terrestris?

The makes of Natadrol claim that tribulus is a scam and that you should avoid it at all costs. There are numerous supplements that contain tribulus, some of which probably can be considered scams. But not all supplements should receive that black spot.

According to LG Science, real Bulgarian tribulus doesn’t exist anymore and that the current form of tribulus commonly found in testosterone boosters come from China and are generally ineffective. Tribulus terrestris originally gained its popularity because of a study done in Bulgaria in the 1970s that showed the extract could induce androgenic behavior among the animals tested. While there may be some truth to the ineffectiveness of tribulus terrestris, some supplements containing the extract have a strong track record showing powerful results.

What’s Inside Natadrol?

Since Natadrol doesn’t contain tribulus terrestris, what makes it so powerful? Natadrol contains a proprietary blend with ingredients that the makers claim are proven to be effective and have studies to back that up. We decided to do our own research to determine just how effective and proven those ingredients are.

Curculigo orchioides
A study was done using rats. The rats were given 100mg/kg doses of Curculigo orchioides resulting in increased libido and weight in sex organs. The results suggested androgenic and anabolic effects. However, one important detail is that dosage. 100mg/kg may not seem like a lot among rats, but for an average human being, you would have to consume about 7,000-8,000 mg of Curculigo orchioides to see the same result from the trial.

Hibiscus Rosa Sinesis
A similar study was done using Hibiscus Rosa Sinesis. Rats were given the extract over the course of 8 weeks. While the dosage is unknown, it’s probably safe to assume the rats were given a relatively high dose. The results showed anabolic effects of the extract. Rats that were given the ingredient gained between 8% and 22% in weight. However, like the previous study, the dosage is important and humans are likely to have different results.

Tinospora cordifolia
Tinospora cordifolia is considered by many to be a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress and improve health. But as far as testosterone goes, Tinospora cordifolia has actually been shown to reduce its secretion. In other words, this ingredient is likely to be counterproductive in a testosterone booster.

Cissus quadrangularis
This natural extract has been used in multiple diet supplements because of its weight loss abilities. One of its “side effects’ is an increase in testosterone, which in this case wouldn’t really be a side effect. Cissus quadrangularis is an all-natural extract that is safe and effective.

Would We Recommend Natadrol?

There really isn’t any advantage of purchasing Natadrol over a majority of trubulus products. In fact, Natadrol is guilty of the very accusations they throw at tribulus. It contains unproven ingredients and even an ingredient that has shown to decrease testosterone rather than increase it. LG Science may claim to have clinically proven ingredients, but the fact that the studies were done on rats with substantially high doses tells us it is highly unlikely to work for you.

You can buy Natadrol from its official site for $39.99, but we think your money would be much better spent on something else.
