Boosting levels of testosterone has always been a tricky business for bodybuilders. Higher levels of testosterone raise anabolic potential, making it easier to build muscle, improve body composition, and increase strength. The surefire method has been made illegal thanks to the ban on steroids but are there all-natural ways to get similar results? NOW Foods would have you think so. Recently they have unveiled a supplement called TestoJack. Its formula is filled with ingredients that have been used in several testosterone boosting formulas. Let’s see if they work well together.

Ingredients

The best ingredients in TestoJack are tribulus terrestris (trib) and eurycoma longifolia (long jack). These are both plant extracts full of steroid-like compounds called saponins. These saponins have been the subject of much study. Much of the research shows that they can help the body build more luteinizing hormones, a chemical messenger the body uses to stimulate testosterone production in the testes. Thus trib and longjack help the body construct important androgenic precursors that can ultimately raise levels of testosterone. These results have made trib and long jack common staples in hundreds of t-boosters on the market. These are definitely winning ingredients.

TestoJack is not without its fillers, though. Its main ingredient is 808mg of ZMA, a patented zinc/magnesium aspartate blend. ZMA has been popular for boosting testosterone since the late 90′s though its hard to say why. Studies conducted in 2004 and 2006 showed that ZMA had absolutely no effect on testosterone and did nothing to build muscle, enhance performance, or improve body composition. The only study that showed it had any benefits at all was conducted in 1999. But unfortunately, this study was conducted by the product’s patent holders, making the results questionable due to possible bias.

Conclusion

Just because TestoJack contains trib and long jack, doesn’t make it worth checking out. Combined, TestoJack only has 350mg of these effective ingredients as opposed to to its 808mg of usueless ZMA. There is no question that this supplement will be inefficient, ineffective, and a waste of money. We highly recommend looking into other supplements because TestoJack is just jacked up.
