Aside from some decent protein, Optibol was loaded with designer creatines and a micellar casein complex. Creatine helped this product provide its users more strength by upping levels of ATP. But enhancing output, creatine creates a necessity to rebuild broken down muscles, thus helping the body make use of the protein contained in the rest of the formula. The micellar casein was also a nice touch. Many protein blends still use casein to slow down the digestion of protein, providing a long and sustained supply of muscle building material. This allowed your body to repair using Optibol’s ingredients for much longer stretches of time.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to test Optibol for ourselves before it was discontinued. If you find it sitting around somewhere, it’s probably not going to hurt you if you try, based on the ingredients we’ve seen anyway. But as the years have gone on, there are much better supplements to try that have hit the shelves.
