Performance Optimizer

Performance OptimizerIf you enjoy consuming organic products, you may want to take a closer look at Performance Optimizer. It was designed by Vega Sports and even though it is no longer under production, it can still be found in some stores and online.

Performance Optimizer is designed to boost energy, increase awareness and improve your aerobic and anaerobic performance in the gym. It contains all-natural ingredients that provide a variety of health benefits, according to those that created the supplement. However, we are going to compare what they claim to what we find in our own research to see if Performance Optimizer really does what they say.

What They Say

According to the makers of Performance Optimizer, their organic compound is designed to give you greater aerobic and anaerobic results in the gym. Here is a full list of the benefits you should expect from taking Performance Optimizer:

• Immediate energy that lasts
• Increased endurance
• Improved mental focus
• Lower stress
• Replenished electrolytes
• Reduced inflammation
• Fat loss

According to the makers of Performance Optimizer, their product is powerful enough to “take you and your athletic achievements to the next level, safely and naturally.” Vega Sport goes all out with their claims, but while Performance Optimizer may sound like a versatile and well-rounded pre workout supplement, there are some things you should know about it before you actually make any purchases.

What We Found

Performance Optimizer contains a total of 9 active ingredients. Among the less-active, or non-active ingredients are acai, pomegranate, blackberry and strawberry. Generally speaking, these ingredients would be beneficial to you, but they are listed under ‘other ingredients,’ which makes us believe they aren’t provided in active doses.

This is particularly bad news when compared to the ingredients that are listed as ‘active.’ Of the 9 active ingredients, only 2 are found in doses greater than 200mg, coconut oilseed (500mg) and kombucha leaf (500mg). These ingredients are designed to boost energy and build protein.

From there, Performance Optimizer goes downhill. 4 more ingredients are found in doses between 100mg and 167mg. Yerba mate is the next potent ingredient at 167mg and is designed to provide powerful antioxidants and possible reduce fat, but research isn’t conclusive.

Performance Optimizer then contains 150mg of devil’s claw root extract, which is typically used to treat inflammation and reduce joint pain.

3 more ingredients are supplied in 100mg doses: green tea leaf, rhodiola root, and ginseng. Combined, these ingredients have been shown to possibly reduce cholesterol, increase energy, and improve mental awareness.

Finally, we have our sub-100mg ingredients, turmeric root (53mg) and ginger root (10mg). To be honest, these really aren’t even worth listing. In fact, Performance Optimizer contains more sodium (57.5mg) than either of these ‘active’ ingredients. So while researchers have suggested that you may be able to lose weight and lower cholesterol from these ingredients, there really isn’t any possibility of you experiencing these benefits from Performance Optimizer.

What We Suggest

Because of the fact that these ingredients are unproven and are supplied in such low doses, there is little chance Performance Optimizer will actually work for you. In fact, you may be able to get the same results by going outside and eating the first plants you find.

We suggest finding a pre workout supplement that contains proven ingredients at quantities that are going to make an actual difference. Whatever you do, stay away from Performance Optimizer by Vega Sport.
