There are several reasons that we tend to slow down, feel tired, and are less healthy the older we get. One of those reasons is merely the fact that our body produces less testosterone as we age.

In fact, our testosterone levels start to dip by 1% each year after we hit the age of 20. In other words, if you’re currently 30, you’re producing 10% less testosterone than someone who is 20.

Along those lines, plenty of health supplements are designed to support your body’s production of testosterone, including one called Progene.

A testosterone booster, Progene promises to have you feeling as healthy as a teenager in no time. In this review, we’ll put that claim to the test and let you know if Progene is a worthy option to consider.

What It Can Do

Consisting of an all-natural formula of plant extracts, amino acids, and vitamins, Progene is designed to boost a body’s testosterone levels without the use of artificial or synthetic testosterone.

That being said, we’re quite certain that Progene should be safe to use and come with a minimal amount of side effects…if any.

As for the benefits of high testosterone levels, they include mental, emotional, and physical health benefits including an increase in mental sharpness and focus, increase energy and stamina levels, increased mood and motivation, and more.

As such, testosterone-boosting supplements such as Progene can be vital to one’s overall health, making them very valuable indeed. Of course, in order to be valuable, a supplement needs to be effective and efficient at what it does.

In order to examine Progene’s effectiveness, we’ll have to see how strong of a formula it contains.

Its Formula

Looking over Progene’s blend, we spotted a number of ingredients known for their testosterone-enhancing properties.
Here are a few of them, including:

Sarsaparilla Root – A popular ingredient found in many testosterone and pre-workout supplements, studies have shown that the presence of Sarsaparilla Root coincide directly with increased levels of testosterone production. Sarsaparilla Root is found in Progene’s Proprietary Blend.

L-Arginine – A well-known amino acid, L-Arginine has proven its worth when it comes to its ability to enhance hormonal secretions found in the body. Alongside this unique ability, it can also promote circulatory performance, remove toxins and free radicals, and strengthen a body’s immune system as well. L-Arginine is found at a dosage level of 1,000mg per serving in Progene.

Tribulus Terrestris Root – Used by many body builders to enhance their strength and muscle gains, Tribulus Terrestris doesn’t actually boost testosterone levels per say. Rather, it enhances the production of another hormone, known as Luteinizing Hormone, which in turn has been linked to higher production of testosterone when found in abundant amounts. Tribulus Terrestris Root is also found in Progene’s Proprietary Blend as well.

Oat Straw Extract – This extract also doesn’t directly increase testosterone levels, much like Tribulus Terrestris Root. Instead, Oat Straw helps to free-up “bounded” testosterone that has already been produced by the body. By doing this, this ingredient allows the body to use its entire supply of testosterone effectively.

Oat Straw can also serve as a stress inhibitor and energy enhancer according to some studies. This ingredient is likewise found in Progene’s Proprietary Blend.

As you can tell, Progene’s makers obviously try to implement some proven ingredients in this product’s blend to ensure that it has the ability to replenish low-producing testosterone levels.

That being said, we were quite satisfied with the quality of ingredients found in Progene. But what we weren’t satisfied with, were the dosage amounts associated with many of these same ingredients.

You see, in order for even the most proven ingredients to be effective, they must be found in proven dosage amounts as well. And this isn’t the case with Progene’s formula.

We’ll explain why in the next section of this review.

The Case of the Proprietary Blend

As we noted above with several of the ingredients, Progene possesses a proprietary blend that includes about half, or 20, of the ingredients found in this product.

Now then, this proprietary blend has a dosage amount of 200mg per serving. When you divide that amongst the 20 or so odd ingredients, you get an average of just 10mg per serving for each of the ingredients found in this blend!

10mg is not nearly a potent enough dosage level for any ingredient to be effective. As such, you can basically a good portion of Progene’s formula as being ineffective.

Recommended Use

As for the recommended usage guidelines associated with Progene, users are instructed to take 2 tablets per day on a full stomach. Users should also be eating healthy and exercising regularly in order to increase Progene’s potential and effectiveness.

Also, Progene promises to provide positive changes within two months of use. If changes aren’t seen within this timeframe, most retailers of this product promise a money-back guarantee and full refund with any purchase if a customer is not satisfied with Progene.

Final Word

In closing, there are plenty of question marks surrounding Progene’s effectiveness and potency. Sure, Progene may prove to be effective in certain cases (hence the positive reviews found on its website), but we’re skeptical that it can prove to be effective on a consistent basis.

As such, we can’t recommend the use of this product. If you’re currently looking for a proven testosterone supplement, we’d suggest looking elsewhere for a more sure-fire option that can get you the help you need and desire.
