Nutrex is a brand many bodybuilders may know. This company has been behind several decent muscle building products in the past. Recently they have developed T-Up Black as their new testosterone booster. We all know the effects a t-booster should offer: accelerated muscle growth, better body composition, and surging bursts in strength. But most of us are used to seeing testosterone boosters that use tribululs terrestris or eurycoma longifolia. T-Up Black, however, breaks the mold by relying on D-aspartic acid and Massularia Acuminata. While it’s refreshing to see new approaches to testosterone boosting, we wonder if T-Up Black’s formula will live up to the time-tested formulas of the past.
Is T-Up Black Effective?
Though perhaps not as common as trib, the plant extract known as Massularia Acuminata is starting to find its way into more an more products. Its effectiveness at raising testosterone levels in rats has been well established and more clinical studies are on the way to asses how well it works for humans. A few studies have already been published, but not by impartial third parties. Products that use Massularia Acuminata in their products such as T-Up Black and Pink Magic are reporting that their average human subjects are experiencing testosterone boosts of about 40%. This sounds great but we’d be much more inclined to trust these statistics if they were released by someone other than the companies trying to sell supplements.
D-Aspartic Acid is another ingredient you’ll find in a lot of t-boosters these days. Some reports are claiming that DAA can actually activate more GnRH, a signaling hormone than can boost the production of testosterone. But like Massularia Acuminata, DAA really only has studies conducted by the companies who sell it that prove its effectiveness. If these “reports” can be trusted, DAA has been able to also help boost testosterone levels by 40%.
Is T-Up Black Safe?
So far, there have been no serious side effects recorded when using Massularia Acuminata or DAA.
Final Conclusion
The ingredients in T-Up Black may have potential benefits, but as of now, they don’t have enough legs to stand on. The only studies that prove the effectiveness of their ingredients were conducted by entities that had too much to lose if the product didn’t work. More reliable data is needed. Until more third party information comes out about DAA and Massularia Acuminata, we recommend trying something other than T-Up Black.
